Great Location; Easy Access To Town And Gondola
Had a great experience. The unit is located on the second floor of a house just a short walk from the Blue River Plaza...which is the exact center of town. The Breck Free Ride bus to the gondola is less than half a block from the property so it's an easy commute to the slopes...even in ski boots. And it's less than a 5-minute ride each way. Very convenient.
The property had a very well-stocked kitchen and plenty of household amenities (humidifiers, ironing board, cleaning supplies). All the appliances were in good working order. Overall, the property was in very good condition. We only had a couple of issues: The blinds on the sliding glass door in the master suite were broken, so they could not be raised. Which was a bit disappointing since the view of town and the mountain is spectacular from the second floor, so we missed out on that. Also, the fireplace was functional, but the flame was very low, so there was little heat and ambience. Not deal-breakers by any means and not enough to reduce the 5-star rating, but they are worth mentioning.
With any vacation property, things are going to crop up here and there where you need to contact the property management company. The key for me is how the staff responds. If I could give Summit Mountain Rentals 10 stars, I would. The check-in, check-out process was flawless...and when I had questions or needed something, I could text the staff and I would get a response within 5-10 minutes...and if someone needed to get to the property, s/he was there usually within 30 minutes. The responsiveness and professionalism of the Summit Mountain Rentals staff is the best I've experienced. They really were helpful and a pleasure to work with and enhanced the experience of our stay.
