For the price, this property is exactly what I was looking for (inexpensive, comfortable bed, ski in [<100' from Four O'Clock Trail], ski out [~500' from Snowflake lift], and great hot tubs. Although the Snowflake lift is slow ~15 minutes to top and then a short ski down to Colorado or Rocky Mountain trail, there were never any significant lift lines. This unit is small, furnishings are dated, and equipment has been well used: fridge is missing a shelf, stove bottom drawer is off-kilter, washing machine/dryer held together with packing tape, electric heating unit has a bent panel, and one lamp did not work. Despite the cosmetic issues, I would gladly stay here again.

This charming retreat, nestled directly across from the Snowflake lift, promised effortless mornings on the slopes. Skiing back to the property at the end of the day via the convenient 4 O'Clock run was pure bliss. And with Main Street just a short stroll away, exploring the town's delights was a breeze. The listing accurately reflected the well-maintained and clean amenities. Perfect for a solo adventurer or a couple's getaway, I wholeheartedly recommend this delightful haven and would happily return.

Our check-in process with Suzanne was easy and she was very pleasant and helpful. The whole reservation process with Summit Mountain Rentals was well organized and they kept you informed of everything you needed for a great stay. The Tyra property was in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. I also saw a ski lift across the street if you come in the winter. The unit was a nice one-room studio. Parking was also near the unit, making it easy to unload. Thank you Suzanne and Summit Mountain Rentals.

My wife and I stayed at the tyra lookout to attend my grandsons wedding. It was a great time to see Colorado in the fall and attend a wedding. The lodge was in great shape, fully furnished with anything you could need for a comfortable stay. I am not a skier but this lodge is only a short walk to the ski lift,I did do a little hiking just outside the lodge.I would highly recommend staying at this lodge.
